The base vault contains the core functionality of DocLink. This module maintains all data integrity. It stores all of the files that are checked in to it, maintains the tree structure, indexes content, manages the audit trail and controls and checks permissions.
No data can go into or out of the vault without first being validated by the base vault module. This design philosophy ensures that the vault is secure.
Forms
Web based documents
Forms are a special type of DocLink document. They are stored in the
vault the same way that a Microsoft Word or Excel document would be.
The difference is that a DocLink Form is entirely web based. You view and edit them with your web browser. Forms can have required fields and error checking. DocLink even keeps track of who filled out the fields.

Workflow
Increase productivity with Workflow
A workflow can be setup within DocLink to control the routing of
documents from person to person. These routes can be in series or in
parallel.
Never pass paper again
User’s can be assigned action items. An action item is a
task with a due date which is attached to a document and assigned to a
user. The action item arrives in each user’s inbox awaiting their
input.
A reminder will be emailed to the user if they wait too long to respond. An optional timeout can be assigned which will escalate the action item to another user (we all need to go on vacation sometimes).
