Installation & Configuration
If you choose our Enterprise Package, installing DocLink is very simple and straight forward. It takes less than one hour on a completely fresh server. If you already have Apache, PHP & MySQL already installed and running on your server, installation only takes twenty minutes.
If you wish, you can opt to have port80ware install and configure DocLink, and all of its supporting software (Apache, PHP, MySQL) on your hardware for an additional cost.
If you choose our Hosted Package, we will install and configure DocLink for you.
Implementation
As soon as DocLink is up and running, you can start adding files and directory structures to it. However, we recommend that you map out a plan for file storage so that your vault doesn’t become cluttered and disorganized.
You can start by mapping out your current business processes, whether they be paper driven or electronic. Include all of the people and roles that are required for each process and think about how DocLink’s electronic workflow can simplify and streamline things.
Training
Because DocLink is so simple to use, we feel that the “train the trainer” approach works best. We can setup one-on-one training with your power users and teach them everything there is to know about DocLink. They can then relay the necessary instructions to the rest of your users.
Integration
DocLink was designed with integration in mind. With some very simple custom programming, a great deal of integration and automation with other existing systems can be realized.
Import
Suppose you have a neatly laid out file system directory for Documentation on a share on your file server and now you want to be able to maintain revision control and auditing of these documents. DocLink can very easily import the entire share, copying the entire directory structure and saving you from having to recreate the whole thing manually.
